Hunan, China – Hunan Wangkun Pipes Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer in the pipeline industry, recently successfully bid for a stainless steel pipeline project with the Nanjing Water Authority. To verify Wangkun's manufacturing capabilities and quality control firsthand, a delegation from the Authority conducted a comprehensive factory inspection on November 24-25 at Wangkun's facility located in the Yuhu Industrial Park, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province.
The visit provided the delegation with a transparent look into Wangkun's advanced production processes for stainless steel welded pipes. The tour began at the 30,000-square-meter main workshop, where the guests witnessed the fully automated production line in action. The process, from uncoiling the large stainless steel coils to the final forming and welding of the pipe, was highlighted by precision and efficiency. The delegates observed automated water spray cooling systems and the machinery's ability to automatically cut the pipes to specified lengths.
Beyond the pipe manufacturing, the delegation also inspected a wide range of fitting components, such as elbows, flanges, tees, and press-type connectors, ensuring a complete and compatible piping system solution.
A key highlight of the visit was the introduction of Wangkun's laboratory, which successfully obtained the prestigious CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) accreditation in 2025. This national-level recognition underscores Wangkun's commitment to superior quality control and reliable product testing capabilities.
Furthermore, the technical team explained the essential pickling & passivation treatment all pipes undergo. This critical process enhances the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel welded pipes, ensuring long service life and delivering cleaner, safer water.
The inspection concluded on a high note, with a productive exchange between the two parties and a commemorative photo featuring the delegation leaders and Wangkun's CEO, Mr. Cheng. The officials expressed strong confidence in Wangkun's strength, paving the way for a successful collaboration.
