Xiangjiang Happy City - The First World-Class Super-Large Innovative Comprehensive Tourism Project in Hunan

Xiangjiang Happy City spans approximately 1.6 square kilometers and features a total construction area of around 500,000 square meters. It innovatively repurposes abandoned mine pits to construct a comprehensive tourism destination integrating core attractions such as the Happy Water Area, Happy Water Village, Happy Ocean, Happy Sky Street, Happy Square, and Huayi Film Town. As the first world-class super-large innovative comprehensive tourism project in Hunan Province, its centerpiece, the Ice and Snow World (comprising the Happy Sea Area and Happy Water Village), is suspended above the mine pit. This construction poses significant technical challenges and has been recognized by the Discovery Channel as one of the "Top Ten Impossible Projects in the World."

Xiangjiang Happy City: Transforming the Impossible into Reality

Located 15 kilometers south of Meixi Lake, on an abandoned mine pit measuring 100 meters in length, a massive "suspended" architectural structure emerges. After over four years of arduous efforts and innovative exploration, the Ice and Snow World of Xiangjiang Happy City has officially reached its topping-out milestone. The completion of the civil engineering phase signifies that the project has entered the stages of interior decoration, renovation, mechanical and electrical installation, and external structural construction. It is anticipated to commence trial operations later this year.
